Although founded in 1944, it was in 1959 that architect Howard Johnson proposed the plans for the course as we know it today, with the particularity of offering as many par 3s as par 4s and par 5s.
Its undulating greens and 67 judiciously positioned bunkers represent its greatest challenge. Its permissive tree lines, completely cleared, allows golfers to benefit from a permissive environment.
Over the years, it has hosted several renowned events, including the Béliveau-Perreault tournaments in tribute to two of the NHL's most prolific hockey players, Jean Béliveau and Gilbert Perreault.
It has also hosted the Gilles Marotte Tournament which brought together more than 1,000 golfers during the same weekend.
The Québec Open has been presented for 11 years in Victoriaville and since 2013, the Sani Marc - Fenergic Canada Cup, presented by the City of Victoriaville, represents one of the most important professional competitions in the country with its total purse of $125,000 including $25,000 to the champion.
